Editing
Jesse has edited WBEZ’s Curious City project, and several independent podcast and writing projects. An editor works with a team of reporters and producers to help them realize their storytelling vision.
Senior Producer
Jesse was the lead producer at WBEZ’s Curious City and Motive Season 4, working with the editor and reporter, and ultimately responsible for all audio elements of both podcasts including recording narration, editing and mixing interview tape, scoring (including composing original music).
Field Reporting/Recording
A field reporter gets the assets needed from a reporting trip in a way aligned with the storytelling vision of the project. It might include recording in challenging outdoor conditions, or simply being sensitive to the needs and emotional boundaries of an interview subject.
Education
Jesse has led trainings, workshops, or visited classes to help students of many ages learn the basics of podcasting, journalism, screenwriting, and documentary.
